When you're choosing a PickleTimes paddle, you're choosing more than a shape. You're choosing a feel. And the MPP Build Core thickness is where that feel starts.

16mm: control and touch

The 16mm core gives you deeper dwell time on contact. The ball stays on the face a fraction longer, which translates to a softer, more controlled feel. If you prioritize drops, dinks, and consistent placement, if you win by outthinking your opponent rather than overpowering them, the 16mm is your core.

14mm: pace and pop

The 14mm core is livelier off the face. Less dwell time means more energy returned to the ball, which means more pop on drives and more presence behind your volleys. If you play an aggressive, fast-paced game and want a paddle that matches your energy, go 14mm.

Which should you choose?

As a general rule, if you're newer to pickleball or play a control-based game, start with 16mm. If you're an experienced player with a power-forward style, 14mm will feel more natural. Both cores are available across all Rally Series profiles.

Try both if you can. The difference is real, and once you feel it, you'll know which one is yours.
